WEST VALLEY, MEET BODGER! |
Las Vegas… LOOK AT THAT FACE. |
Bodger is a 3 year old, 45.7 pound sweetheart looking for a comfy home and a family to love. He can be a little shy at first, but once he feels safe, he’s all about head scratches, cuddles and being close to his people. Even better? He’s house trained, walks well on a leash, has been sweet with people and kids, and his adoption fee is WAIVED! π The Animal Foundation — Las Vegas
Can’t adopt? Share him! West Valley, his person could literally be one scroll away.

Apparently, we have things to discuss…
A little culture, a little luxury, a little beauty drama, and at least one thing we definitely did not expect to learn today.
Basically, West Valley… the group chat is officially open.
Click whatever makes you say, “Wait… WHAT?” and we’ll meet you down the rabbit hole. |

WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU DID SOMETHING FOR THE FIRST TIME?
West Valley, when was the last time you switched up your normal routine just because you could?
And no, we’re not suggesting you quit your job, sell the house and move to Italy. We’re talking tiny adventures.
Take a different route through Summerlin. Try the restaurant you keep driving past on Charleston. Order something you can’t pronounce. Take a pottery class. Wander through a local farmers market. Try a workout that looks mildly terrifying. Or finally check out that little Vegas spot you’ve had saved on your phone for six months.
Turns out, there’s actually something to this.
Our brains tend to pay more attention when we experience something new. It can pull us out of that work → errands → dinner → Netflix → repeat autopilot and make an otherwise ordinary day feel a little more memorable.
And the change doesn’t have to be huge.
YOUR WEST VALLEY CHALLENGE
Do ONE thing differently this week.
Try a new Summerlin restaurant. Take the scenic way home past Red Rock. Listen to an artist you’ve never heard. Order the weird thing on the menu. Say yes to an event you normally would’ve skipped.
Best case?
You find a new favorite place, food, hobby, person or experience hiding right here in Las Vegas.
Sometimes making life feel a little bigger starts with doing something very small. |

Ghost Lashes Are In… Because Apparently Our Eyelashes Are Going Quiet Luxury Too
West Valley, after years of bigger, darker, thicker, more dramatic lashes, beauty has decided to do what beauty does best: completely change its mind. Enter ghost lashes, the barely there lash trend popping up across social media and runways. Instead of heavy strips and super dense extensions, the look is all about soft, wispy, strategically placed lashes that blend into your natural lash line.
Basically, the goal is for everyone to think:
“Wow, her lashes are gorgeous.”
Not:
“Wow, those lashes entered Downtown Summerlin five minutes before she did.” The look focuses on just enough definition to make the eyes pop while keeping everything light and natural. Think “I woke up like this”… except we absolutely did not wake up like this and several beauty products were involved.
And you don’t necessarily have to ditch your lash extensions to get the look. If you’re an extension girl, think lighter sets, finer lashes, less density and more intentional wispy placement rather than a super full wall of lashes.
Will Las Vegas actually give up its mega lashes? That might be asking a lot from a city where subtlety has never exactly been our brand. But for the Summerlin and West Las Vegas crowd loving the softer, effortless beauty era, ghost lashes might actually have a shot.
Would you try ghost lashes? or are they going to have to pry your volume set out of your hands? |
