Drivers on the 215 Beltway near Summerlin Parkway have spotted a new silver pedestrian bridge emerging across the freeway.
This striking structure is part of Clark County’s ambitious $130 million project to overhaul the 215/Summerlin Parkway interchange.
Officials say half of the bridge is up, with the final section set for installation next week.
To safely complete this phase, southbound 215 lanes between Summerlin Parkway and Far Hills Avenue will close overnight from December 18 at 8 p.m. to December 19 at 6 a.m.
Detours will reroute drivers and clear signs will mark the way.
The project features new ramps, trail bridges, and a direct flyover, aiming to ease congestion and improve pedestrian connectivity.
The forthcoming bridge will unite the Beltway West Trail with the future Summerlin Parkway Trail, opening new options for walkers, runners, and cyclists and expanding the valley’s recreational network. Read More... |
The owners of Sorellina Cucina Italiana and Emilio’s Contemporary Mexican Kitchen have announced both restaurants will close on December 23, less than a year after their much-anticipated southwest Las Vegas debut.
Through a heartfelt Instagram post, they shared their appreciation for loyal customers and described the restaurants as love letters to family and community, citing economic pressures as the driving force behind the difficult decision.
Staff well-being remains a priority, with efforts underway to help displaced employees find positions within their other ventures, and a call for local support in job leads.
Sorellina’s menu brought farm-to-table Italian flavors inspired by Puglia, while Emilio’s focused on contemporary, healthier Mexican cuisine.
Though these closures highlight industry hardships, Refined Hospitality continues to serve Las Vegas with Café Lola, Saint Honoré, and more, fueling hope for future culinary innovation in the area. Read More... |

FOR YOUR BOUGIE FRIEND (SUMMERLIN APPROVED): |
Every luxe loving girl in Summerlin already owns that hat, so if your bestie doesn’t, consider this your civic duty. For equally practical but chic moments, a sleek wallet or a scarf is perfect for brunch hopping around Downtown Summerlin.
Add a candle that’s got the internet fully spiraling (for good reason), and top it off with a cute little charm that looks good and does good, because in Summerlin, we love a gift that multitasks as hard as we do.
Basically, you’re gifting main character energy. |
Summerlin Side Eye 👀 |
We’re judging the vibes, canceling tanning beds, and realizing that “being different” has somehow become a uniform.
• Is it winter break yet? Because the Summerlin pickup line is a social experiment and we are failing it.
• Platonic partnerships are trending, turns out romance is optional but splitting rent is mandatory.
• Are we all chasing “unique” too hard? If everyone’s different in the same way… what are we doing here?
• Maybe rethink that glow, if your tan entered the room before you did, it’s time to reassess.
• “Aesthetic” isn’t just a look anymore, it’s a personality, a coping mechanism, and somehow your entire brand. |
🌵 Summerlin Secret Hack: |
If Red Rock feels crowded, hit Calico Basin instead, same views, fewer people, and way more “local energy.” |
