🐾 Meet Kamali: The Cuddle Bug With a Built In Weighted Blanket Vibe

Let’s just say this 10 year old gentleman didn’t come to play. He came to love hard, nap harder, and remind us that senior dogs are the real MVPs of the snuggle game.

Kamali (ID# A1379013) is a 77 lb teddy bear disguised as a dog. He’s got puffball ears, a “retired gentleman at brunch” energy, and the kind of calm presence that makes your stress evaporate faster than a pumpkin spice candle in August.

💩 Potty trained? You bet.

🎓 Knows his commands? Yup.

🧸 Kid friendly? Absolutely.

🐕 Cool with other dogs? Large, small, he’s vibin’ with all.

He’s been called a “cuddle bug” by his former family and honestly, same. If emotional support dog was a love language,Kamali would be fluent.

So if you’ve never had the honor of loving a senior dog, Kamali’s about to change your life and your throw pillow arrangements.

📍Available now for adoption. He’s ready to go home with you.

A recent coyote sighting near Vassiliadis Elementary School in Summerlin prompted a brief campus hold, underscoring rising anxiety about wildlife in local neighborhoods.

Principal Paul Catania notified families on Monday that the school was placed on "hold status" due to a nearby coyote. Clark County School District Police and animal control responded swiftly, but the coyote’s whereabouts remain unknown.

Located near Alta and Desert Foothills drives, Vassiliadis Elementary sits in an area where coyote activity is on the rise. Summerlin residents have reported more sightings, with coyotes increasingly seen roaming streets and backyards, fueling worries about pet safety.

The Nevada Department of Wildlife links this pattern to drought and urban growth pushing coyotes into neighborhoods. NDOW urges residents to secure trash, supervise pets, and report aggressive wildlife as part of community safety efforts.

🐾 Hero of the Week: North Paws Ranch

The Rescue with a Heart Big Enough for Chuck

Every so often, a shelter dog comes along who’s… well, an absolute legend. Chuck was that guy.

He was goofy. He was sweet. He occasionally tried to help with office work (poorly).

But what Chuck lacked in admin skills, he made up for with that big, goofy grin that said:

“I don’t know what we’re doing, but I’m happy to be here.”

The team fell hard for him, but the real MVP?North Paws Ranch.

They saw Chuck not as a project, but as family.

They scooped him up, quirks and all, and gave him the kind of life most dogs only dream of,  open space, love, and probably zero spreadsheets.

🌟 So here’s to  North Paws Ranch  for seeing the magic in a misunderstood mutt and giving him his happy ever after.

We salute you as this week’s hero! 🐶❤️

Matcha, Mascara & Messy Drama: What Summerlin’s Buzzin’ About

Buckle up, babes, from frothy obsessions to fandom meltdowns, this week’s hot takes are spicier than a jalapeño margarita at Honey Salt. Here’s the local scoop everyone’s pretending not to talk about:

Too much matcha? Your gut might be waving a green flag! as in, “stop drinking this before liftoff.”

Move over cat-eye, there’s a new liner in town, and she’s got main character energy.

**‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ fandom** is now turning…petty. Someone take their phones.

New dating trend alert: There’s a literal pecking order. Yes, dating has gone full Game of Thrones.

Netflix’s newest drop is ripping the Band-Aid off life’s cringiest truths and we can’t look away.

🍂 Fall Smells Like That Girl Now, And We’re Not Mad About It

This season? We’re not just dressing for fall, we’re scenting for it. Summerlin’s streets are starting to smell like a caramel drizzled candle just got into an elevator fight with a roasted almond warmth, and a vanilla mist… and honestly, we support the drama.

Forget basic pumpkin spice. This year, it’s all about scent layering, a.k.a. building your own signature cozy vibe using everything from almond oil to apple perfumes and toasted sugar sprays. They’re calling it “scent gardens”, but we call it “fall in a bottle”.

Homes are smelling like someone just baked six pies for a Friendsgiving no one’s invited to yet.

TikTok’s vanilla girl aesthetic girl aesthetic is fully in charge, and your lotion is about to smell like dessert.

Think of it like fall layering for your nose. Mix, match, and slay all day.

Whether it’s a bougie perfume or a Bath & Body Works haul, one thing’s clear: this fall is all about the vibe… and your nostrils are front row.
