Meet Sour Patch Kid: More Sweet Than Sour 🍬🐾

Don’t let the name fool you. Sour Patch Kid skipped the sour phase entirely. He’s all sweet, all the time.

This handsome 1 year old pup is curious, gentle, and basically the total package. He loves car rides, outdoor adventures, pup cups, and chilling with his favorite humans. Bonus: he walks great on leash and appears potty trained (a true gentleman).

After spending over 68 days at The Animal Foundation, this sweet boy is still waiting for someone to choose him.

If you’re looking to adopt a dog in Las Vegas, your new best friend might be right here.

Sour Patch Kid is ready to trade shelter life for couch life.

Can you be his forever family? ❤️

Summer is in full swing, and so are fireworks, frozen treats, and celebrity wedding rumors.

• Summerlin is serving stars, stripes, and sparkle.

• A wild stunt had everyone looking up. Imagine if this happened over Red Rock.

• Your favorite frozen treat says a lot about you (yes, even that gelato from Downtown Summerlin).

• Taylor + Travis wedding rumors have the internet in full detective mode.

• The face of shingles may be changing.

Summer beauty drops are coming in hot. Kind of like walking to your car in Summerlin at 3 p.m. Here are three launches we’re obsessed with.

• Vacation Shimmer Oil SPF 30 is giving poolside goddess at Red Rock Casino energy. Glowy, shimmery, and SPF? Say less.

• Typology Brow & Lash Gel keeps every hair in place, even after a windy stroll through Downtown Summerlin. No flakes, no weird white cast, just clean girl magic.

• Kosas Blush & Lip Multistick is basically summer in a tube. Perfect for that effortless “I just grabbed coffee at Mothership and somehow look amazing” glow.

Nevada’s public schools face major upheaval as declining enrollment triggers widespread closures and consolidations across the state. This shift is transforming communities and straining both families and school districts.

In Gardnerville, the beloved C.C. Meneley Elementary is set to close after over 40 years, a decision driven by a 17.4% drop in Douglas County School District’s enrollment since 2016. Superintendent Frankie Alvarado warns of further losses, with even more schools at risk.

Financial pressure is mounting as Nevada’s per-pupil funding lags behind inflation. School consolidations may save millions, but districts say it’s not enough to solve ongoing budget shortfalls.

Clark and Washoe counties are seeing similar enrollment declines, prompting cuts, modernizations, and facility merges.

Low birth rates, rising charter school enrollment, and population shifts towards retirees are fueling the trend, leaving many families and educators worried about Nevada’s educational future.
