Summerlin is set to host its 32nd annual Fourth of July parade on Saturday, July 4, 2026, inviting residents and visitors to partake in a grand celebration of America's 250th birthday.
This year's theme, "United We Celebrate 250," honors the nation's rich history and the diverse tapestry of its people and traditions.
The parade, recognized as Southern Nevada's largest patriotic parade, will feature over 70 entries, including more than 20 giant inflatable balloons, veteran and military groups, and floats showcasing local favorites like the Vegas Golden Knights, Las Vegas Raiders, and Las Vegas Aviators.
United States Air Force Col. Trevor T. Merrell will serve as the grand marshal, leading the procession that begins at 9 a.m., with escorts stepping off at 8:30 a.m.
The route starts at Hillpointe Road and Hills Center Drive, proceeds south toward Village Center Circle, then west on Trailwood Drive, concluding near Trailwood Drive and Spring Gate Lane.
Attendees can reserve curbside viewing spots with chairs and blankets starting at 7 a.m. on July 3, ensuring a comfortable vantage point for the festivities.
Organizers encourage early arrival, bringing water, and wearing sunscreen to stay comfortable during the event.
Beyond the parade, Summerlin offers a variety of events to celebrate the holiday.
On July 3, the Las Vegas Aviators will face the Reno Aces at the Las Vegas Ballpark, followed by a fireworks display, providing an early start to the Independence Day celebrations.
For those seeking evening festivities on July 4, Downtown Summerlin will host a free fireworks show at 9 p.m., best viewed from The Lawn area.
With its blend of traditional and contemporary celebrations, Summerlin's Fourth of July parade and associated events offer a vibrant tribute to the nation's milestone anniversary. |
