Las Vegas welcomes spring with the 9th Annual Haru Matsuri, hosted by the Kizuna Japanese Society on April 4, 2026, at Lorenzi Park’s Sammy Davis Jr. Festival Plaza.

This free Japanese Spring Festival features a colorful blend of tradition and fun for all ages.

Guests can enjoy live taiko drumming, take part in an authentic open-air tea ceremony, and try on summer kimonos for memorable photos.

Interactive cultural booths offer calligraphy, origami, martial arts demonstrations, and hands-on experiences.

Culinary highlights include takoyaki, karaage, mochi, and shaved ice from local vendors.

Adults can sample sake and wine in a dedicated tasting area.

The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a reminder that pets aren’t allowed in the plaza.

Celebrate spring with family and friends at this lively Las Vegas community event.

Dina Mitchell, a longtime Las Vegas entrepreneur, is fiercely dedicated to her dream of bringing healthy, gluten-free fast food to the masses with her new venture, PowerSoul Cafe.

After 15 years building Tropical Smoothie Cafes in Nevada and Southern California, Mitchell sold her interests and traveled the world, discovering a lack of certified gluten-free options in the fast-food industry.

Inspired by her experiences abroad and her own gluten-free lifestyle, she crafted PowerSoul Café, using strict sourcing—like pesticide-free Italian ingredients and certified gluten-free oats—to ensure safety and quality.

Her journey to a spot on “Shark Tank” was arduous, requiring multiple video auditions and immense perseverance.

Ultimately, her persistence landed her a spot on the show’s upcoming episode on April 15, where she aims to spotlight safe dining options for those with celiac disease or other food sensitivities.

Regardless of the show’s results, Mitchell remains passionate about her mission to redefine fast food in Las Vegas.

Grand Park has launched its first 21-acre phase, unveiling Summerlin West’s largest green space to date.

This expansive community park features lighted baseball, softball, and basketball courts, along with six pickleball courts designed for league and casual play.

Families are drawn to shaded playgrounds, a vibrant splash pad, and picnic areas, all connected by accessible pathways and ample parking.

The park’s elevated position west of the 215 Beltway treats visitors to sweeping vistas of the Las Vegas Valley and mountains.

Adults can take advantage of outdoor fitness stations and relaxing gathering spots beneath ramadas or on wide lawn areas perfect for yoga and events.

Grand Park links directly to Summerlin’s trail system, encouraging active outdoor lifestyles.

Set to expand to 90 acres over two more phases, Grand Park will anchor both the neighborhood and Summerlin’s legacy as Southern Nevada’s park leader.
