The Resort at Summerlin is set to energize Las Vegas dining with the arrival of Tacos 1986 and For The Win, launching mid-March 2026 at The Neighborhood Food Hall.

Beloved for authentic Tijuana-style tacos, Tacos 1986 will offer hand-made tortillas piled high with carne asada, pollo asado, or vegan mushroom, recreating the lively spirit of L.A.'s street food scene.

Grand opening celebrations kick off March 17, including live mariachi and free tacos for the first 100 guests.

Following on March 19, For The Win, famed for its crave-worthy smash burgers and golden fries, will reward the first 500 guests with free burgers.

These openings headline a $75 million renovation, bringing cutting-edge flavors to Summerlin alongside concepts from award-winning chefs.

Tacos 1986 and For The Win are located at 221 North Rampart Boulevard, Las Vegas, with daily service and a promise of fresh culinary excitement.

Clark County is preparing for a dangerous heat wave, with the National Weather Service issuing an Extreme Heat Warning for the Las Vegas Valley from 11 a.m. Wednesday to 8 p.m. Sunday.

Temperatures are forecast to reach up to 96°F (36°C) on Friday, heightening health risks, especially for the elderly, young children, and those without air conditioning.

In response, cooling centers have opened throughout Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Henderson, and Laughlin, offering relief in air-conditioned community centers, libraries, and the Courtyard Homeless Resource Center.

Many locations welcome leashed or crated pets, and hours vary, so checking schedules is advised.

Residents are urged to use these facilities, stay hydrated, and avoid outdoor activity during peak heat.

Officials stress checking on vulnerable neighbors to prevent heat-related illnesses.

This heat wave underscores the need for community action as extreme weather becomes more frequent due to climate change.

The glittering image of Las Vegas fades as you venture west of the Strip, where Summerlin sits—home to some of America’s most exclusive gated communities.

Within these guarded enclaves, privacy is paramount and luxury takes center stage.

The Ridges stands apart with its double-layered security, panoramic Red Rock views, and homes ranging from $1.2 million condos to $21 million custom estates.

Here, Bear’s Best is transforming into the $300 million private Amara Golf Club, promising new heights in leisure and prestige.

Even more elite, The Summit Club resembles a private resort with 24/7 patrols, Tom Fazio-designed golf, and mansions fetching up to $40 million.

Recent buyers include Oakland A’s owner John Fisher, highlighting its exclusivity.

Nearby, Red Rock Country Club offers Arnold Palmer golf, elegant homes, and inviting amenities—all with a welcoming, “real” community feel.

Each enclave crafts its own definition of secrecy, creating worlds that most Las Vegas residents rarely glimpse.

In Summerlin South, homeowners are embracing modern glass garage doors to boost their curb appeal and introduce abundant natural light to their spaces.

Recent upgrades, including custom carriage house doors designed to meet strict HOA architectural standards, are reshaping the look and feel of neighborhoods like The Ridges.

Alongside style, functionality is essential—many residents now opt for ultra-quiet, smart garage door openers equipped with integrated cameras, like the popular LiftMaster Secure View, ensuring enhanced security and convenience, especially in homes with bedrooms above the garage.

Emergency repairs, such as same-day torsion spring replacements with durable, high-cycle hardware, are frequently provided by local technicians, whose service vehicles are a familiar sight throughout the area.

Highly-rated specialists now offer around-the-clock elite services, ensuring new neighborhoods in Summerlin South continue to set the standard for luxury entry systems and architectural excellence.

The trend is helping to further elevate the prestige of this sought-after community.
