Las Vegas Animal Foundation Seeks Urgent Foster Homes Amid Overcrowding |
Community Encouraged to Provide Temporary Homes for Shelter Dogs |
Imagine watching TV alone? it's a bit lonely, isn't it?
Now picture Kamali, a gentle and affectionate dog, curled up beside you. Suddenly, your evenings are filled with warmth and companionship.
Kamali is not only potty trained but also knows basic commands. All he needs is a cozy couch and a caring human to share it with.
Currently, The Animal Foundation in Las Vegas is facing a critical situation. With 495 dogs in the shelter and 318 new arrivals just last week, the facility is at capacity.
To address this, the foundation is urgently seeking community members to foster medium or large dogs (over 35 pounds and older than six months) for a minimum of four weeks.
As an incentive, foster families will receive $200 upon completion of the four-week period.
Here's how you can help:
đž Pick up a dog between Monday, September 15, and Friday, September 19.
đž The foundation will provide all necessary supplies, including food.
đž Visit the foster window in the adoption lobby between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. to get started.
If you're interested in giving Kamali a break from the shelter, his ID number is A1379013.
Fostering a dog is not only a rewarding experience but also a vital service to the community. By opening your home, you provide these animals with a comfortable environment and help alleviate the shelter's overcrowding.
For more information or to fill out a foster application, please contact The Animal Foundation at (702) 955-5958 or email foster@animalfoundation.com.
Let's come together, Las Vegas, and make a difference in the lives of these deserving dogs. |
