Celebrate 'Thank a Police Officer Day' at Pinkbox Doughnuts in Boca Park This Saturday

Las Vegas residents are invited to come together this Saturday, September 20, from 8 a.m. to noon, at the new Pinkbox Doughnuts location in Boca Park, Summerlin, to celebrate the annual "Thank a Police Officer Day."

 

This special event is organized in partnership with Southern Nevada Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.), a nonprofit dedicated to assisting families of law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

 

Attendees can look forward to a variety of engaging activities, including:

 

Law Enforcement Vehicle Displays: Explore retired Las Vegas police vehicles and participate in the "Thank an Officer Station," where you can write notes of appreciation to be delivered to local police stations.

 

Doughnut-Eating Contests: Witness a thrilling showdown between police officers at 10 a.m., followed by a fun-filled children's competition.

 

Dunk Tank: Take a chance to dunk local police officers, with proceeds supporting Southern Nevada C.O.P.S.

 

Raffle Prizes: Purchase tickets for a chance to win various prizes, with all funds benefiting the nonprofit organization.

 

In appreciation of their service, police officers attending the event will receive a free OG glazed doughnut from the Pinkbox Doughnuts truck on-site.

 

Judith Perez Siegel, executive vice president of Pinkbox Doughnuts, emphasized the importance of the event, stating, "Police officers dedicate themselves to keeping our community safe, and unfortunately, some make the ultimate sacrifice. So, we wanted to partner with C.O.P.S. to raise funds for the families these brave heroes leave behind."

 

Suzy Rogers, Treasurer of Southern Nevada C.O.P.S., added, "This event allows us to show our appreciation for the brave men and women in law enforcement while raising vital funds to support the surviving families in our community."
