The Resort at Summerlin is set to spice up Las Vegas' culinary scene with the grand openings of Tacos 1986 and For The Win in mid-March 2026. These Los Angeles favorites are bringing their renowned flavors to The Neighborhood Food Hall, offering locals and visitors an authentic taste of Southern California's street food culture.
Since its inception in 2018, Tacos 1986 has captivated taco enthusiasts with its dedication to traditional Tijuana-style tacos. The menu boasts hand-made corn tortillas filled with flame-grilled meats like carne asada and pollo asado, complemented by fresh onion, cilantro, guacamole, and salsa. Vegetarians can savor the popular hongo mushroom vegan tacos. The Summerlin location will mirror the original's standing-room-only, counter-service setup, immersing guests in the vibrant atmosphere reminiscent of a classic L.A. street taco stand.
To celebrate its grand opening on Tuesday, March 17, Tacos 1986 will host a family-friendly event featuring a live mariachi band and offer two free tacos to the first 100 guests. This festive occasion promises to be a lively introduction to the flavors and culture that have made Tacos 1986 a beloved institution.
Following closely, For The Win will open its doors on Thursday, March 19. Established in 2020, this Southern California staple has garnered a loyal following with its focus on quality and simplicity. The signature smash burger features a high-quality patty smashed thin with grilled onions, topped with pickles and the restaurant's signature fry sauce, all served on a toasted Martin's potato bun. The menu also includes a variety of sides such as golden, thin-cut fries, deep-fried sweet potato fries, loaded fries topped with grilled onions, melted American cheese, and house fry sauce, and crispy balsamic Brussels sprouts deep-fried in beef tallow and finished with balsamic vinegar and lemon juice.
For The Win's grand opening will feature a giveaway of free burgers to the first 500 guests, making it a must-visit event for burger aficionados. The addition of these two eateries is part of The Resort at Summerlin's $75 million renovation aimed at revitalizing its dining program. The Neighborhood Food Hall now boasts a diverse lineup, including ai Pazzi, ai Pazzi Pizza, Pearls Oyster & Crudo Bar from celebrity chef Fabio Viviani, Nom Wah, the first West Coast location of New York City's oldest dim sum restaurant, and Wineaux from James Beard Award winner Shawn McClain and master sommelier Nick Hetzel.
Michelle McHugh, Vice President & General Manager of The Resort at Summerlin, expressed enthusiasm about the new additions, stating that introducing two of Los Angeles' most celebrated quick-serve concepts to Summerlin reflects their commitment to redefining the culinary landscape at The Resort at Summerlin. She added that Tacos 1986 and For The Win embody the energy, creativity, and crave-worthiness that define L.A.'s food scene and align seamlessly with their vision of The Neighborhood Food Hall.
Both Tacos 1986 and For The Win are located at The Neighborhood Food Hall at The Resort at Summerlin, 221 North Rampart Boulevard, Las Vegas, NV 89145. Operating hours are Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. For more information on these exciting new dining options, visit The Resort at Summerlin's official website. |
