Summerlin could swing from near-100-degree heat to stormy, jacket-worthy weather in just a few days.

The latest Summerlin weather forecast keeps temperatures hot through Friday before a sharp weekend cooldown brings breezy conditions and possible thunderstorms.

Forecast checked Oct. 7, 2026.

If you have outdoor plans, sports, dining, or family activities this weekend, check the official National Weather Service forecast for Summerlin before heading out.

Weekend Turn: Heat Drops, Storm Chances Rise

Saturday starts the cooldown. Sunday brings the bigger shift, with highs in the mid-80s, breezy conditions, and a chance of showers and thunderstorms.

Monday stays cooler and unsettled, with temperatures in the upper 70s and additional storm chances.

Where Summerlin Residents May Feel It Most

Sunday and Monday could affect outdoor dining, youth sports, park visits, hiking, and community events around Summerlin.

Outdoor plans at Fox Hill Park, The Gardens Park, The Mesa Park, and other Summerlin parks and trails may need flexibility if storms develop.

Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, at 1000 Scenic Loop Drive, can be especially exposed to wind, rain, and lightning. Check conditions before hiking, cycling, or driving the scenic loop.

Plan for the Change

Through Saturday, prioritize water, shade, and sun protection. For Sunday and Monday, be ready to move outdoor plans indoors if thunder develops.

Because desert storm timing can change quickly, monitor the National Weather Service Las Vegas office and the Summerlin-area forecast before weekend activities.

Upper 70s on Monday sounds wonderful after these near-100 afternoons. I’m ready to take a walk without waiting for sunset.
