Summerlin Festival of Arts returns to Downtown Summerlin this weekend for its 30th anniversary, bringing more than 100 juried fine artists to The Lawn from Friday, Oct. 9, through Sunday, Oct. 11, 2026.

The outdoor festival runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day and gives west valley residents three full days to browse paintings, sculpture, photography, glass and mixed-media work without heading to the Strip.

Three decades of art in Summerlin makes this year's edition more than another fall weekend on the calendar.

The event began decades ago at Summerlin Centre Community Park and has been held at The Lawn at Downtown Summerlin since 2015, growing into a regional showcase for artists and collectors.

This year's lineup includes more than 100 artists selected through a jury process, with both returning exhibitors and new talent represented across a wide range of styles and media.

Featured work includes glass wall sculpture inspired by the ocean, along with painting, photography, sculpture and other contemporary pieces.

The appeal is that visitors do not need to be serious collectors to enjoy the weekend.

Families can make a morning or afternoon of it, with children's activities adding something for younger visitors while adults browse the artist booths.

What to know before you go

The festival is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday at The Lawn in Downtown Summerlin.

Admission is free, making it an easy stop for residents who want to wander through the displays before lunch, dinner or shopping nearby.

Because the event occupies a busy part of Downtown Summerlin and draws visitors throughout the weekend, arriving earlier in the day can make the experience easier, especially for families planning to stay several hours.

Visitors should also be aware of an organizer warning about unauthorized booth sales.

Artist, food and entertainment participation is handled through the official festival process, and organizers say anyone claiming to sell booth space independently is not legitimate.

Why locals may want to make time for it

October is one of the busiest months on Summerlin's community calendar, and the art festival lands in the middle of a run of fall events that includes the ongoing Parade of Mischief and other neighborhood activities.

That makes this weekend a particularly active one around Downtown Summerlin, but it also gives residents a chance to combine the festival with the area's restaurants, shops and regular Saturday farmers market.

For longtime residents, the 30th anniversary is also a reminder of how much Summerlin's community-event scene has changed as the area has grown.

The festival has moved locations and expanded its reach, yet the basic idea remains simple: put artists and neighbors together in an outdoor setting and give people time to discover work they would not normally encounter.

If you only have an hour, arrive early, walk the full artist area once, then circle back to the booths that caught your attention.

With three days and seven hours of festival time each day, residents have plenty of flexibility to fit the event into their weekend.

The 30th Summerlin Festival of Arts runs Oct. 9-11, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily at The Lawn at Downtown Summerlin.

Hard to believe it's been 30 years. I like that you can see all kinds of art without paying to get in.
