Spook and Splash Comes to Pavilion Center Pool Oct. 17 |
The west-side pool plans a $4 Halloween evening with games, a movie and swimming |

Halloween at the pool sounds like a distinctly Las Vegas plan. The city of Las Vegas lists its first Spook and Splash at Pavilion Center Pool for Saturday, October 17, from 5 to 8 p.m. Admission is listed at $4 per person, with games, a bounce house, a cupcake walk and a poolside movie in the program.
The city's pool page places the event at the Pavilion Center Pool Complex on Pavilion Center Drive in the 89144 ZIP code. One section of that page lists 101 S. Pavilion Center Drive and the event listing says 101 N. Pavilion Center Drive, so use the facility name and call ahead if a navigation app sends you to the wrong entrance.
The schedule matters for younger children. The page describes a haunted house from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and warns that it may not be suitable for little kids. A screening of Monsters, Inc. is listed for 6:30 to 8 p.m. while guests play in the pool. Families can choose the part that fits their comfort level.
Pool rules still apply
The city states that each child under seven or under 48 inches tall must be accompanied by an adult 18 or older at all times, one parent per child. Young swimmers need approved swim diapers where applicable, and only U.S. Coast Guard-approved flotation equipment may be used. Check the posted swim rules before promising an easy drop-off.
Suitable swim attire is required. A costume may make sense for games, but the movie-in-the-pool portion is still a swim activity; bring proper swimwear and a dry change of clothes. The city also lists restrictions on frayed shorts, T-shirts and other clothing in the water.

Make an evening of the right things
A family could arrive for games first, skip the haunted house if it is too intense, and stay for the film. Someone who only wants the movie should still allow time to change and understand supervision rules. The page does not say that every attraction has unlimited capacity, so avoid building the night around an assumed guaranteed spot.
The pool's regular listing also gives a phone number for lessons and classes, but the special evening has its own published program and fee. Do not assume a regular monthly pass covers the Halloween activity or that a swim lesson is running during the film. A quick call can answer questions about capacity, entry, and what happens if the pool schedule changes. That is particularly useful when coordinating several children or a larger group.
The city also lists a separate Water EX Goes Halloween shallow-water exercise class for Thursday, October 29, 9 to 10 a.m., at $3 per person. That is not the October 17 family event, and mixing the two dates or fees would be an easy mistake. Check the schedule for the activity you actually want.
Outside the special event, the facility maintains indoor and outdoor pool schedules through December 31, 2026. Those schedules have different lap and recreation periods, and Sundays and holidays are closed. Regular open-swim prices and monthly passes are separate from the advertised Spook and Splash admission.
If you have questions about accessibility, capacity, or whether registration is needed, call the pool at 702-229-1488; the event section also lists 702-229-1428. The city page is the best starting point, and a direct call can settle a detail that an online calendar does not explain.
At a glance: Saturday, October 17, 2026; 5–8 p.m.; Pavilion Center Pool Complex; $4 per person. Haunted house 5–6:30 p.m.; Monsters, Inc. and pool play 6:30–8 p.m. Recheck the city listing before heading out. |

What counts as approved swim attire for a costume though? Like can my kid wear a mermaid tail or not? Would be nice if they spelled that out before we show up and get turned away.
Monsters Inc. While floating in the pool sounds like the most Las Vegas thing ever and I am completely here for it.
The address thing is a little concerning. Nothing worse than driving around with wet kids in the car trying to find the right entrance. Wish they would just pick one and stick with it.
$4 per person is honestly a steal for all that. Games, bounce house, cupcake walk AND a movie in the pool? We'll definitely be there.
