Santa photos are back at Downtown Summerlin, but a spur-of-the-moment visit may not work. Santa Chalet opens November 13 at Macy’s Promenade, with required reservations, limited walk-ups, and prices that rise closer to Christmas.
Book before building a shopping day around it, then recheck the official Santa Chalet page for your family’s date, time, and package details.

Santa Chalet photo packages and reservation pricing
The event page says each package includes two printed 5-by-7 photos and three downloadable digital photos. That is an important planning detail for families deciding whether the stop fits their holiday budget, rather than treating it as a casual free meet-and-greet.
The page lists early-visit pricing at $39.99 from November 14 through November 25, $42.99 from November 27 through December 10, and $49.99 from December 11 through Christmas Eve. Those posted dates and prices should be checked at booking because event terms can change.
Reservations are required, and the organizer says only minimal walk-ups may be available depending on capacity. A family should not assume a same-day arrival will result in a visit.
Santa Chalet hours, Pet Nights and Sensory Morning
Santa Chalet is listed from 11 a.m.–8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m.–7 p.m. Sunday. The program begins Friday, November 13, while the first listed pricing window begins November 14, so the booking page is the best place to confirm how that opening period is handled.
The event also lists Pet Nights on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4–8 p.m. through December 17. For families who want a pet-inclusive photo, that is a more useful option than arriving on a standard date and hoping it is allowed.
A Sensory Morning is scheduled for Saturday, December 5, from 10 a.m.–noon. That specialty window gives families looking for a calmer format a clear date to consider, but it should not be assumed to apply to other Santa Chalet operating hours.

Plan your Santa Chalet visit at Downtown Summerlin
Macy’s Promenade sits within a walkable retail district, which makes Santa Chalet easy to pair with lunch, shopping, or a separate errand. It also means late-November and December weekends may involve more pedestrian activity and longer parking searches than a quick weekday outing.
What the Santa Chalet listing does—and does not—confirm
The listing identifies a Santa photo experience, its published packages, and the special Pet Nights and Sensory Morning dates. It does not promise wait times, specific photo poses, costume choices, cancellation terms, or a particular amount of walk-up capacity. Those details belong in the booking process or a direct question to the organizer.
For Summerlin families, the most practical takeaway is simple: this is a reservable holiday activity with a clear price calendar, not a drop-in attraction. Book and reconfirm through the official page so the visit works with the rest of your December plans.
Santa Chalet photo-day tips
Holiday photos go better when the appointment is treated like any other timed booking. Keep the confirmation handy, allow for children’s snack or rest needs, and avoid scheduling another reservation immediately afterward. If coordinating outfits, pets, or extended family, a buffer before the appointment is more useful than planning around the exact minute of arrival.
Families should also use the booking process to verify accessibility needs, package choices, and current policies. The public event page is the best source for the broad schedule, but a confirmation record is the right source for a specific appointment. That small distinction can prevent confusion on a busy December weekend. |

Glad they have a Sensory Morning on Dec. 5. That could make Santa photos a lot easier for kids who get overwhelmed by the crowds.
Tuesday and Thursday Pet Nights are a nice touch. Our dog would probably be more excited about the outing than the kids are about Santa.
We tried dropping by Downtown Summerlin for Santa last year and couldn't get a spot. Definitely booking first this time before telling the kids we're going.
Carlos M.We learned that one the hard way too. I'm booking a morning slot this year before our calendar fills up.
Does anyone know what the price is for opening day on Nov. 13? The listed prices start on the 14th, so I'm a little confused.
Almost $50 for photos in the last two weeks is steep. We might go before Thanksgiving this year if we can get a reservation.
Glad they have a Sensory Morning on Dec. 5. The regular Santa line can be a lot for some kids, so we'll look into that one.
