Straight up: if you buy through the link on this page, West Valley Shoutouts gets a small commission. It doesn't change your price, and it didn't change what our neighbors said below.
Temu sells an enormous range of goods at very low prices, but quality and consistency are hard to predict.

We spent some time browsing Temu, the online shopping platform that seems to sell just about everything — clothing, bedding, garden tools, pet supplies, electronics, and plenty more besides. The sheer breadth of it is striking. You can go looking for a surge protector and end up three pages deep into folding carts and sofa covers.
The prices are the main draw, and they are genuinely striking. A 17-outlet surge protector with USB ports lists at under ten dollars. A four-piece bamboo sheet set is around eleven. A cordless handheld chainsaw comes in at under thirteen. These are not sale prices in any traditional sense — they appear to be the everyday ask. Many items show a steep "original price" crossed out beside them, though it is not always clear what that original price refers to or where it came from.
Customer ratings across many of the products we looked at were high — mostly in the 4.5 to 4.9 range — and review counts on some items ran into the tens of thousands. That said, we would encourage readers to look carefully at individual reviews rather than relying on the headline score. On the buyer protections side, Temu does offer free returns within 90 days for most items, a delivery guarantee with compensation for delays, and a 30-day price adjustment if something you bought drops further. Those are reasonable assurances in writing, and worth knowing about before you order.
Where we would urge a little caution is around expectations. At these price points, what you receive may differ from what the listing photographs suggest. The platform carries goods from many different sellers, and standards will vary. This is a fine place to pick up something low-stakes — storage bags, a pet mat, string light poles for the garden. It is probably not where we would go for something that needs to last, or for anything where fit and feel truly matter, such as clothing or shoes. If you do not mind a little trial and error, there is real value here. If you want certainty, look elsewhere.
